Making Space to Lead.
This half-day leadership intensive brought together founders and executives for an immersive experience featuring hands-on guidance from Roy Group coaches and a candid fireside conversation with bio-ware cofounder, Dr. Ray Muzyka.
Guided by Ian Chisholm and Yolanda Moran, Roy Group’s respected coaches with decades of experience working with senior leaders, the session introduced field-tested practices designed for fast-moving, high-growth environments. These were not abstract theories; they were practical tools and perspectives that helped participants slow their thinking without slowing their momentum. Participants left with renewed insight, actionable strategies, and ripple effects that reached well beyond how they led to how their businesses performed.

Yolanda Moran
PRACTICE LEAD, ROY GROUP
Yolanda Moran brings over 20 years of operational leadership experience and a deep understanding of organizational dynamics for driving growth and transformational change. As VP of Retail Operations for Flight Centre Canada, Yolanda drove the profitable growth of a $750M leisure travel business, oversaw 160+ locations with 900+ employees, and headed up brand marketing and online strategy. Yolanda brings a keen sense of empathy and a passion for supporting others in developing their leadership practice. Her philosophy on leadership focuses on ‘getting real’ about reality, building strength vs. focusing on weakness, and maintaining inclusivity and personal accountability at every level of an organization.

Ian Chisholm (Chiz)
FOUNDING PARTNER, ROY GROUP
Ian Chisholm co-founded Roy Group in 2004 with the intent of making the statement ‘Ex Eximio Eximia: From your finest self comes your finest contribution.’ his own life’s work — and a vehicle for assisting others to find theirs. His greatest fulfillment comes from seeing the multiplier effect that is achieved when honourable people from all walks of life invite each other into leadership. Ian is a well-known coaching practitioner, social entrepreneur, and pioneer of executive education in Europe, where he guided the challenging operational startup of the award-winning Columba 1400: Community and International Leadership Centre on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Prior to Skye, Ian served as the director of programs for Operation Enterprise, a division of American Management Association International headquartered in New York City, where he played an integral role in pioneering an initiative to bring young talent from innercity USA to experience a regime of formal leadership development.

Ray Muzyka
CO-FOUNDER, BIOWARE
Originally trained as an MD, Dr. Ray Muzyka co-founded BioWare in the early 1990s. The Canadian video game developer was later purchased by Electronic Arts for $860 million. For the next two decades, Ray embraced the role as BioWare’s CEO and, for the last five years, as SVP/Group GM of the BioWare division of Electronic Arts. Ray retired from video games in late 2012 and started his third career chapter at ThresholdImpact, which is focused on sustainable, profitable impact investing, mentoring, and angel investing in deep tech social enterprise and health and medical innovations.
